Youngsters of Woodingdean Wanted for Street Art
Wet Paint Productions are on the look out for young people to take part in an important community arts project. The group between** ten and fifteen 12- 16 year olds **will work with street artists and the police to design and create a street art mural. The community project aims to build better relationships between the NPTs (Neighbourhood Policing Teams) and young people and will be part of a campaign highlighting the issues around domestic abuse.
Two graffiti artists, Snub23 and SinnaOne, will be training the young people and the police to use spray-paint together as a team.
Frank! Communication Solutions, founders of Woodingdean in Business have been working with Sussex Police developing campaigns highlighting the work of the NPT’s – www.talktomeicanhelp.com and the recent domestic abuse poster campaign that can be seen on poster sites around Sussex.
If you know of any 12 to 16 year olds who may like to get involved with this really exciting project visit www.wetpaintproductions.co.uk where you can fill in the application form.
The community project is free to get involved with and you don’t need any previous experience of spray-paint art, as all of your training will be provided. It will take place over 4 weekends starting 19 January – full details can be seen using the link above.
