Rottingdean Road Closure

There are road closures in Rottingdean starting this Saturday 27 October 2012. The closures are part of essential work to upgrade the gas supply network.
There are two phases to the project – Phase 1 will start with the temporary closure of The Green between Falmer Road and Dean Court Road. For Southbound traffic there will be two way temporary traffic lights between Dean Court and the High Street to allow traffic to flow in both directions within the existing one-way section. Northbound traffic heading through Rottingdean from the coast will not be effected.

Phase 2 starts on Saturday 10 November – and will mean the a diversion (suggested in a recent Argus article to be a 5 mile diversion www.theargus.co.uk/news/10003391.Rottingdean_roadworks_lead_to_five_mile_detour/ ) for all Coast bound traffic.
