Plea from Woodingdean Woodcraft Folk

Woodingdean Woodcraft Folk are searching for a local venue willing to rent a space to a new Woodingdean based group. There is a group for 10 to 12 year olds trying to find a base to meet from 5.30pm to 7pm on Wednesday evenings.

The Woodcraft Folk are an educational children’s group that help kids develop self confidence and skills through doing woodcraft, games, craft sessions and co-operative activities.

The group has been set up because another Woodcraft group for younger children established a few years ago proved popular and now the children who started at 6 years old are too old for this group and need their own sessions to develop their skills in the next stages of Woodcraft.

The groups are run by volunteers and at the moment the older children are meeting outside in all weathers or squashing into a leader’s home. A Woodingdean based location would be fantastic, so if anyone has any ideas of where to try, please get in touch at hello@woodingdeaninbusiness.co.uk

The group are desperate to find a space because otherwise the group will fold, which be an awful shame for Woodingdean’s creative kids.

The group are looking for a low priced large room or hall to hold their meetings in that is free between 5.30pm and 7pm on Wednesdays during term time.

If you have any ideas, please do get in touch.
