New Library and Medical Centre in Woodingdean

Woodingdean will be getting a new combined Medical Centre and Library. The new building will replace the old library and Woodingdean GP surgery.

The library will be twice the size of the one already there and will include a new computer suite, an out-of-hours entrance and a small meeting room.

The medical centre will also be much larger and will provide new and improved facilities for Dr. Sagar and Partners who currently work at 1 Ridgeway.

The last required contract details have now been finalised and agreed and the building work is due to begin in early to mid-February 2013. The building work will take about a year, the first stage of building being the car park and a temporary library cabin.

The exact dates of the building work will be confirmed by Brighton and Hove Council at the end of January.
