Great Christmas Pudding Race
The Great Christmas Pudding race began over 30 years ago in and around London’s Covent Garden and came to Brighton for the first time in 2010. This now annual event takes place this year at 11am on the 1st December 2012 and will raise money for Martlets Hospice and Cancer Research UK.
Teams of up to five people (friends, family, or work colleagues) negotiate their way round an obstacle course whilst balancing a Christmas Pudding on a tray! Prizes will be awarded to the team most successful in their fundraising, the fastest team around the course, and the team with the best fancy dress.
Registration is £20 per team and the organisers hope that each team will raise an additional £425. Since the first race in 2010, the event has raised over £16,500 for the Martlets Hospice and Cancer Research UK.
The Brighton Christmas Pudding Race will take place on New Road, Brighton and all proceeds will be split equally between Cancer Research UK and the Martlets Hospice.
