Giving Blood at Woodingdean and Brighton Racecouse
Blood donation plays a vital role in saving and improving the lives of sick or injured patients who are undergoing a wide range of treatments. It only takes an hour (including completing the essential paperwork and having a brief chat with medical staff) and could quite literally save a life.
The donation is 470ml which is just under a pint in old money and takes around 10 mins – but then staff will encourage you to relax, read and have a cup of tea and snack before leaving.
First time donors should be between 17 and 65, weighing at least 50kg (7 stone 12lbs) and in general good health. If you have donated before you can start again anytime up to your 70th birthday. To book an appointment you simply have to call the Donor Line on 0300 123 23 23
Blood donor sessions will take place at the following dates and times. We will try to update this regularly and tweet reminders from @woodingdeanbiz.
Please do donate if you are able to.
