Enter The Martlets Midnight Walk
On Friday 14 June, women Brighton & Hove will be taking part in the Martlets Midnight Walk. With only two weeks left until the big day, if you are interested in taking part, you must sign up before Friday 7 June.
Robert Griffiths, Director of Fundraising said: *“We are getting used to the fact that more and more ladies leave it to the very last minute to sign up but with only two weeks to go we are appealing to anyone who is thinking of registering to do it as soon as possible. Our target is to match last year’s sponsorship of £115,000 and take the total raised by our Midnight Walks to over a million in seven years. We need those last minute walkers to achieve this.” *
The charity need to raise £8,000 a day to provide their residents with the best possible care.
Walkers can choose either a 6 or a 13 mile route. Both walks start at midnight from Brighton Racecourse and the journey takes you through the streets of Brighton & Hove.
Marshals will point you in the right direction and a delicious breakfast will be supplied to everyone involved.
The Brighton Rockers Roller Derby Team are the latest team to sign up for the walk. There are more teams than ever before that have signed up to the walk.
Donna James has taken part in every walk so far, she would never miss it, she said “The atmosphere is just brilliant. It’s the only place I can think of that you can have a girl’s night out, have breakfast, get fit, have a good laugh and do your bit for a great charity for the grand price of £15. Don’t miss it!”
